VOLUME 01

Gaku Nakane

Chibi Gallery debuts with the work of ceramic artist Gaku Nakane.

Based in Higashiomi, Shiga Prefecture, Gaku Nakane is known for beautifully textured vessels and crackled "kakesho" finish. Inspired by nature, his powerful pieces depict erosion and landscapes sculpted over time. A Loewe Foundation Craft Prize 2024 finalist, Gaku Nakane's technique is widely recognized for its contemporary twist.

This is DAMDAM's second collaboration with the artist, whose work was previously featured in the 2023 Atelier collection.
